Vintage c1940 Thomas 9' Special, Dry Fly rod.
This very nice 3pc 2 tip 5 3/4oz rod was made for Bauer's Sporting Goods (Eddie Bauer).
Down-locking seat. Brown silk tipped with Red at the base of each section.
One tip is about 2 1/2" short, otherwise all original, down to the tube, and bag with the hang tag.
A few bag marks and tiny chips in the varnish here and there, but this one is ready to fish!
These dry fly taper rods are some of the best casters ever made!
