Vintage F.E. Thomas 9' Special Fly Rod

Here's a "Handyman Special" that needs a little work to make it a presentable Thomas rod again.
This is an early 9' 3/2 Thomas Special with full intermediate wraps, Half Wells grip, and a full nickel silver sliding band reel seat with rails and a bullseye stamp around a "5" on the butt end. Tips have their original Agate tip tops.
Unfortunately, this rod suffered a break to the mid section which resulted in the mid being about 5" short.
Adding insult to injury, someone then replaced the original mid female and one tip ferrule with a gold anodized ferrule made for a fiberglass rod. The tip with the replacement ferrule is about 1/4" short.
The only other major repair needed is to rewrap the Agate stripping guide, which came loose.
The butt and second tip are still full length, although this tip has a repair wrap a few inches down from the top.
Comes in the original bag and original nickel plate capped aluminum tube.
This would make a great, inexpensive user rod once someone to put a nickel ferrule back on and rewrapped one guide.
