Beautiful Thomas 11 1/2' Browntone Two-handed Salmon rod.
This amazing 3pc, 2 tip rod, 14oz rod was made in 1948 and is in nearly new condition and is ready to fish.
Smooth cork has some soiling on it, otherwise you might think this rod was never fished.
Brown double wrapped silk over bronze snakes. Blued nickel silver hardware.
Hardy style aluminum locking seat. Removeable button on fixed fighting butt.
Rod comes with the original brass capped aluminum tip tube and tip bag, as well as the original rod bag and scarcely seen optional aluminum rod tube with leather attached push button release end caps. I have only seen a few of these tubes, and the others had original Thomas decals on them. This tube does not have a Thomas decal and apparently never has.
