Very early 10' Orvis Light Salmon rod, marked "Orvis Impregnated" "Pat.-Pend."
This rod was made in 1945 and is all original, and full length.
1 tip has a small repair overwrap that was done long ago, and the cork grip has some ridging from use, but otherwise this rod is in excellent condition, and a rare find for Orvis collectors.
Black oxidized hardware, Removable fighting butt with plug, locking seat has "Bakelite Impregnated Rod" and "U.S. and Foreign Pats. Pend." stamped into it.
With original bag, and unmarked aluminum tube.
