Beautiful, vintage Hardy Palakona 9 1/2' "The Houghton Rod" fly rod. Made in 1940.
3pc, 2 tip rod is all original, full length and straight. Full intermediate wraps. Clear Agate stripping guide as well as tip tops.
Spiral "lockfast" locking ferrules. Removeable fighting butt, and reversable spear blade built into reel seat.
This amazing 80+ year old rod still has the original ferrule plugs, labeled rod bag, aluminum tube, and labeled tube bag!
This rod shows varnish cracks at the ferrules from flexing, but all are tight and ready to fish.
You'll look long and hard to find another Light Salmon rod in this condition.
